Maison DAUCOURT selects high quality malted barley and French wheat. Well known to Scottish distillers, France offers one of the best qualities of cereals for making whiskey.
Maison DAUCOURT uses purified water on site, using state-of-the-art equipment.
D.U.C Whisky is distilled twice in authentic Charentais stills, characterized by their “swan necks”.
The contact with the barrels and the influence of their origins makes D.U.C a whisky with acclaimed character.
The winemakers of Maison DAUCOURT have managed to reach their ideal. By combining pure essences from the origins of ex Bourbon, Sauternes, and Cognac casks they created a whisky with a natural apparent sweetness, and a powerful identity.
Tasting Notes
On the nose: sweetness of candied fruit, apricot, and plum. Pleasant notes of orange blossom accompanied by a touch of vanilla.
On the palate: An approach of finely peated malted cereal, and a subtle oakiness, that gives way to notes of French pastry and caramelized dessert. Delicate and greedy at the end of the mouth, reminiscent of cocoa, dried orange peel and hazelnut. D.U.C is a whisky full of character, always leaving you to crave another sip!
